NeverWorld

(January 2004 - March 2004)

Description:

One of the first programming languages I learned was Visual Basic 6 in the senior year of high school. I became fascinated enough with the language to build a small project in my free time. NeverWorld was a mixture of Windows Forms and static images to produce a very simple role-playing game (RPG).

Design:

  • Character 'Creation' (Select Character and Name Them)
  • Character Classes Provide 3 Difficulties (Different Classes Have Different Statistics)
  • Player Decides Where To Go (Simple 'Free-Roam')

Technical:

  • Randomized Enemy Health
  • Randomized Player/Enemy Hit Amount (Player Hit Randomized Based on Class)
  • Randomized Enemy Image
  • Use of Drop-Down Lists and TextBoxes to Convey Information and Play
